Afro vs. Dreads, Bob Ross Meets His Match!

February 14th, 2012

Who didn’t love watching Bob Ross paint “happy little trees” and scratch his brush around on PBS making beautiful landscapes before your eyes? I always found it pretty amazing how easy he made it look to make a these painting, and the afro was pretty incredible too. The photo above is not one of Bob’s works though, rather it is a work by Fabian Gaete Maureira, a street painter in Santiago, Chile. Maureira would have totally schooled Bob, and whats more is he primarily uses his fingers. As if the final product and method is not impressive enough, he creates these works of art in under 3 minutes! Read the rest of this entry »

December 16th, 2011

Down with IE!!! Internet Explorer (IE) is the bane of every developer’s existence. I am sure that I have wasted at least a year of my life in aggregate of the time that I have spent debugging and fighting with one version or another of IE. Despite my hopes of IE6’s quick but painful death, the W3CSchool’s statics on IE, and even Microsoft launch of IE6 countdown (a push to wean the world off the crack that is IE6), the browser still has a whopping 8.3% strangle hold on the world’s population’s portal to the information super highway… :_(

Is it thus so much to ask for Chrismukkah this year that IE6 just die already?!? Well maybe someone is listening… Read the rest of this entry »

Angry Birds Gone Too Far?!?

December 6th, 2011

So sure, I am as much an angry birds fan as the next guy. Kill a few minutes here or there. Sure. Challenge your ability to eyeball a yelling birds trajectory…Sure. But I think that this Rovio executive’s wife has taken this a bit too far… It took me a second to catch onto what was going on here, but kind of off the hook awesome, right? Check it out Read the rest of this entry »
